ESPN Gets Out of Restaurant Biz, Shutting Down ‘ESPN Zone’

Gonna miss that location in Times Square.  Great place on a Sunday afternoon to watch Jets and Giants games for New Yorkers and every once in a while you to see a live broadcast from that location.

But this is the new world order and that means people are doing different things with their money than going out and investing in lunch or dinner.  Most just can’t afford it now it has put a cramp in the style of ‘ESPN Zone’ the theme restaurants owned by Disney.

The theme restaurants totally swagged out in ESPN gear will close most of its locations except for those connected to properties like the one located at Downtown Disney in Anaheim, California.

“The economics have been challenging” according to a Disney spokesperson who commented to the Los Angeles Times.  And that all makes sense since it sure is cheaper to grill up a steak at home rather than buying one at Ruth Chris.
