Ellen DeGeneres Being Gay Made ‘Idol’ Ratings Drop…Religious Writer Says So

Does anyone know that Ellen DeGeneres is gay? Does anybody care anymore? There was a report in the New York Times last week that even men, who normally get a bit queasy when confronted with the gay and lesbian issue, are saying that not only is it OK but who cares.
Gee, comma, not that Paula Abdul’s disappearance worked against the show. That plus the fact that ‘American Idol’ is just plain old stale.
Probably didn’t help that Ellen mentioned on ‘American Idol’ that she “loved a woman” during one of her comments during a May show that got McCullough going. Quoting a part of his article “…at this moment…network television is on a pro-homosexuality bender…Idol chose to be a part of this…it was a huge mistake.”
Anyone that thinks that Ellen DeGeneres was the reason for the decline of ‘American Idol’ has simply lost it from a mental standpoint. There are several other more direct reasons for the show’s audience decline. Not that making the statement on loving a woman was probably a mistake, but most real professionals in the broadcast business don’t even list her sexual orientation as a reason.
Isn’t it strange that the most adamant foes against gays and lesbians normally turn out to have sexual dysfunctions of their own?
