Court Ruling Could Bring More Nudity to Network TV
Charlotte Ross is in the news and it has nothing to do with her current run on ‘Glee’ the hit TV show on FOX. Time for a blast from the past, taking you back to a 2003 episode of ‘NYPD Blue’ when she was a detective on that show and ABC censors happened to let producers visualize Ross’s bare backside during a segment.
Sorry there were no DVR’s back then so replaying it 150 times was not possible.

Well ABC got hit with fine totaling over $1.2 million big ones for not editing out that shot. You see the FCC is always watching. But after seven years of ABC going one on one(like LeBron versus Kobe on the court), in the court versus the FCC, the ruling against ABC has been reversed.
The U.S. Second Circuit Court of Appeals has vacated the fines against ABC saying that “nudity itself is not per se indecent” and even called the FCC’s indecency standards “vague” in a written account of the ruling.
More backsides on TV? Well maybe not but there’s always going to be some producer looking to test those FCC standards again and if they want to go up against the government for seven years, God bless them.
