Chelsea Handler Gets NBC Comedy, Network Cancels a Bunch of Shows
TV’s hottest property right now is Chelsea Handler. And NBC is ready to launch her big time with a network program based on her life .
Wonder if 50 Cent will do a guest shot on the show.
Are You There Vodka? It’s Me Chelsea is a female skewed comedy that looks at the lives of a group of 20 something women living together and of course that leads to all sorts of fun and frolic as they say when a group gets together. Laura Preppon from That 70′s Show will lead the cast as the outspoken one in the group while Chelsea Handler will play her older sister in the series.
NBC jettisoned several shows which include The Event which was highly touted and promoted, Outsourced, which was on the list as one of television’s most stereotypical shows and Law & Order: Los Angeles which has become a much better program yet didn’t pick up a consistent audience at its launch.
