Channing Tatum, Jonah Hill Top Remake of TV’s ’21 Jump Street’

So most don’t know that Johnny Depp and Holly Robinson-Peete, known as just Holly Robinson back in 1987, were the leads in ’21 Jump Street’ on the FOX Network.  It was one of FOX’s hottest shows with a bunch of really good looking, young people who played undercover cops in high schools and colleges.  Just about any place where there were teenage kids doing criminal things.

21-jump-streetFast forward to today.  Johnny Depp, well is Johnny Depp.  Need we say any more?  And Holly got herself hooked up with an NFL quarterback and is currently co-hosting ‘The Talk’ on CBS daytime.

And they’re both not interested in the movie re-make coming to the big screen so Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill headline the new project.  Really doesn’t matter as all of the characters in the TV series created by the late, great Stephen J. Cannell, will not be in the movie version.  But for all of us ‘blasters from the pasters’ we thought you might want to see the opening of the TV series that ran on the air for four years.
