‘Cedric “The Entertainer” is ‘The Soul Man’ on TV Land New Sitcom
And he’s got Niecy Nash on board with him as the comic moves from NBC’s It’s Worth What which quite frankly had about four people who watched that waste of an hour of television time but Cedric “The Entertainer” is back in business. The upcoming TV Land is bringing another original comedy series with The Soul Man that heads in to production and set to premiere on the network June 20th.
In typical black comedy television content, The Soul Man has Cedric “The Entertainer” starring as an R & B singer turned minister who was making big bucks, living the high life and getting that call from the man upstairs to turn religious.
If you’ve been a fan of the TV Land comedy Hot in Cleveland, you saw the Reverend Boyce The Voice Ballentine who popped up in a season two episode of that show. Now comes the spin off as The Voice and Cedric “The Entertainer” gets a new show on the cable network.
Niecy Nash is part of the cast playing the Reverend’s wife. The Soul Man airs on TV Land at 10PM premiere night.
