Samuel L. Jackson is getting in to the TV business with two projects being produced in cooperation with CBS TV Studios. Samuel owns UppiTV Productions and has what is called a ‘first look’ deal with the network, which gives them the ability to view program ideas before Jackson is able to take that project to another studio. That agreement was signed last year and Jackson has a comedy and a drama on board with CBS.
Bob Kushell (‘Samantha Who’ and ‘3rd Rock from the Sun’) is putting together the comedy while Andrea Newman who has credits with ‘Private Practice’ and ‘Cold Case’ is working on the drama focused on an emergency room doctor with unconventional medical methods. Sound a lot like ‘House.’ Anyway no timetable on production.
