Authors Stephen King’s ‘The Colorado Kid’, James Patterson’s ‘Private’ Being Produced for Television

December 7th, 2009

Stephen King

Syfy and CBS are bringing two of the world’s most brilliant author’s works to their networks.   Syfy has set up a deal with Stephen King to bring a production called ‘Haven’ to the cable network.  ’Haven’ is based on the King novella ‘The Colorado Kid’ and 13 episodes are set to be produced early 2010.  This plot sounds pretty cool as it takes place in the town of Haven, Maine where persons with paranormal powers have lived there for generations because the area stifles their powers.

CBS grabs on to James Patterson’s upcoming novel ’Private’ which focuses on an ex-Marine and CIA agent that now runs his father’s private detective and security company.  The book is set to be released in June of 2010 and Jason Cahill who has credits for ‘Fringe’, ‘NYPD Blue’, ‘The Sopranos’ and ‘E.R.’ will write the television version of the book.  Remember the show ‘Women’s Murder Club’ which ran on ABC?  That was based on a Patterson novel.
