Anderson Cooper Looking at Hosting a Daytime Talk Show

Anderson Cooper Looking at Hosting a Daytime Talk Show…Why?  I dunno.  His show on the constantly audience losing CNN isn’t doing very well so I guess that qualifies him to do a daytime talk show.

Huh?

Really I like Anderson Cooper.  I just think he’s way out of place on CNN and doing a daytime talk show, placed up against the likes of ‘Entertainment Tonight’ and ‘Access Hollywood’ which is the plan could prove pretty difficult challenge.

James Hibberd over at ‘The Hollywood Reporter’ says a deal is in the works to have Anderson Cooper not only continue his hosting duties at ‘Anderson Cooper 360′ but make room for him to produce a daily talk show in syndication.

Anderson CooperIt would be your typical daily talk program with topics including celebrities, social issues and things that make you want to think about the topics of the day.  So that will be a snoozer.  And is expected to launch next fall when the field of daytime talk programs is wide open with Oprah leaving the genre.

Good luck.

Cooper has been rumored to take over for Regis Philbin should he retire from ‘Regis and Kelly’ which I think would be a perfect place for him.  This show?  Uh, I don’t get it but I thought ‘Lone Star’ would work and now that show is canceled so we’ll see.
