Alec Baldwin Says ’30 Rock’ Done After 2012 Run
Well the show has peaked and dipped and peaked and dipped. I gotta admit that the few episodes of ’30 Rock’ I’ve actually watched were OK. Never a real big fan of the NBC comedy block as it’s all a bit too dorky for me.
Guess I’m more of an NBC News fan rather than a watcher of their comedy programs. Though my support of the news division at NBC could be coming to a screeching halt because of the Donald Trump integration in to NBC News. Some old school newshounds remember when there was a line in the sand between entertainment and news. But that story for another, well story.
Alec Baldwin, in a surprising statement to New York Magazine’s Vulture blogger Ross Kenneth Urken, says ’30 Rock’ is a wrap after the 2012 season. “Our show next year is the last year of the show,” he told the blogger.
Baldwin’s contract expires and so does Tina Fey’s agreement as both are expected to pass on possible renewals and move on to other projects.
Negotiation tactic or reality?
Read more of Urk’s story at the link.
Speaking of Donald Trump, the focus now of the news division over at NBC, Baldwin told Urken “Republicans have to get serious and that’s not a serious choice.” But again that will be a story I write maybe next week.
But just to get started on that story, Good Morning America!
