Actor Kevin McCarthy, TV Actor, The Original ‘Invasion of the Body Snatchers’
I kinda missed this one. I have to admit that one of my favorite old school movies was ‘Invasion of the Body Snatchers’ back in 1956. What a cool flick. That actually was a big flop at the box office because it was too creepy for audiences at that time but if you really want to watch a good old movie rent this one from NetFlix.
Late night TV programmers love it and played it over and over. So that’s where it became a cult favorite. I’m not old enough to have seen it in the movies but sure watched it a lot as a kid. There was a show on the Channel 48 in Philadelphia called ‘Creature Double Feature’ which ran Saturday afternoons at 1PM where I spent my time really getting in to horror movies.

Kevin McCarthy was one of those cool actors kids got in to and what he did in that flick kept you engaged right to the end. The actor died in Cape Cod Mass at the age of 96.
If you really want to see a blast from the past watch the trailer for the film. The dude doing the voice over makes the trailer so very cool. And remember, “YOU’RE NEXT!!!!”
