So there you have it. The new really hot dude that is the new lead character Spartacus. Australian actor Liam McIntyre is the new Spartacus replacing Andy Whitfield, who left the show abruptly after a medical situation. If you watch any of The Pacific on HBO you saw Liam playing the character of Bell Captain Lew in that series. Now with Whitfield out, the producers of the show needed to create some significant hype in bringing back the series.

There seems to be no end to the hacking scandal that’s about to destroy more careers throughout the Rupert Murdoch empire. It has just become simply never-ending as everyday the story just keeps getting bigger and continues to put the future of the company on life support.

Speaking with employees of FOX in many levels across the country, the hacking scandal has become such a thorn in the butts of employees of FOX that some of them are coming to work in New York pretty much in drag. Most of them are totally embarrassed about the conservative cable network FOX News Channel and their ignorance of the scandal. In other words how can they push this story to the side as if nothing happened.
Today the story gets even worse. Scotland Yard now says a second murdered girl’s parents were given a phone that was hacked by an expert in the procedure. Rebekah Brooks, the scumbag editor of the now defunct News of the World, gave the hacker a phone to give to the family and now that phone was hacked in to illegally.
I gotta tell you. That woman Brooks is going to find herself in prison over this mess. But wait there’s definitely more.
Now the Justice Department in the United States is speaking with 9/11 family members who had relatives perish in the disaster. Speaking to them about the investigation that will be taking place to determine if rights were violated here in the U.S. by foreign reporters who have been accused of hacking in to their phones.
This is going to upset a lot of people in America.
And this would mean the complete and total end to News Corp. as the Justice Department, under the guise of the current Democratic administration, would use any means necessary to rip apart Rupert Murdoch’s empire. Like a fat kid sitting in front of a chocolate cake, the Justice Department is ready to devour anything related to FOX News.
They will tear a new you know what in to that company and enjoy putting them out of business. If you owned a brand that advertises on FOX News or any News Corp. owned property, would you continue to spend money on a network that abused the families of probably the biggest domestic disaster in the country’s history?
Then there’s one of television’s most well known names that’s about to be buried under this scandal. That’s CNN and NBC’s Piers Morgan, who is just about headed to hell over this story. First mistake was going on CNN and debating a member of Parliament who pretty much said she would leave the rest up to the media here in America. That began a frenzy of media inquiries in to Piers Morgan on what he did or did not know about the hacking practice. No matter what the outcome, even if he is proven to be completely unaware of the practice, his rule over another newspaper owned by Murdoch is to close of a connection to save his career here in the United States.
In other words, Piers Morgan may be finished as a television personality if there’s any link between him and hacking. This is what we call a career-ender.
This whole story stinks to no end. Really stinks. But it is just beginning. Like sharks smelling blood, the politicians in the country will look to destroy Rupert Murdoch. Even Republicans won’t hide behind FOX News if there’s a connection to their parent company because this investigation will go right to their offices as well.
Just how deep is this scandal?

Yeah I know that’s a lot for a headline, it really is. But when people get sued, I always get interested as I’m a big fan of Law & Order, any part of that series and also understand that gays and lesbians are the new “in” in America, yet knuckleheads like Bradlee Dean still exist in our society.

Now don’t get me wrong. I don’t agree whatsoever with all rights for gays and lesbians. That may be politically incorrect but I don’t care. Living in Los Angeles, I’m surrounded by gays and lesbians, yet being a former homophobe, I get part of the new world order but can’t agree with everything going on in that community.
I have one follower on Twitter that is trying to get Ellen DeGeneres to interview the author of a book that teaches children the importance of same sex marriages and relationships, asking her to interview the author and I totally disagree with his efforts.
But Bradlee Dean is a freaking asshole. And now he’s suing MSNBC and Rachel Maddow for comments she made during her show about his effort to execute all gays and lesbians in our society. The lawsuit accuses Maddow of twisting his words in an effort to discredit another whack job in Michelle Bachmann, who is running for President of the United States.
These people are the reason I stopped doing very expensive scotch over the last few years. Must stay focused on the mission of keeping these nut-jobs in their place. Too much scotch and I might forget to vote. Calling for the execution of gays and lesbians, well that’s a problem.
Why?
Because once lowlifes like Bradlee Dean finish off gays and lesbians, he’ll gather up a storm to then start working on African Americans and Latinos. You see with people like him, it never ends. In other words, or in Bradlee’s words, “who is next?”

Now you know I talk about being from Philly. My hometown. I get back on a regular basis to see family and friends, then after a few days can’t wait to get back to Los Angeles.
This video will show you why.
Philadelphia is a great city. Doesn’t cost you much to live. Even people who work in New York will take the almost two hour train ride daily from Philly to Penn Station in Manhattan to work. But there’s a certain element, a really low class element that would do what happened to FOX 29 reporter as he was preparing to do a live shot during the FOX 10 O’cl0ck News.

Chris O’Connell was doing a live shot outside of a house where animals were being housed. You know one of those houses with 200 cats, 300 dogs and a couple of parrots. The house was at 9th and Shunk in South Philly, and if you’ve ever been at 9th and Shunk in South Philly, well you would not want to spend a lot of time at 9th and Shunk in South Philly.
People there will usually say, “Hey yo, yo Nicky you fat chadrule, you messin’ wjth my wife?” And not a lot of Wharton School graduates living there, actually a place where most residents have a strapped GPS monitor around their ankles.
Chris O’Connell ran in to a few of them. Um, not good. Not good at all.
Check out the video. And the face of the anchor who maintains his cool as his reporter is beat up. Again, since I’m from Philly and I did, in the old days, date a couple of South Philly girls back then. They were lots of fun. All South Philly girls, well you gotta slum it once in a while especially in your young years. But after watching this video, I just gotta laugh.

Once again it’s got a police record, get a TV show for the network Animal Planet, but you gotta admit that if you believe in the TV philosophy from that famous disco tune “if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em” this is a smart move for Animal Planet.
And there are not a lot of smart moves on television these days. But for some reason, this is so, such a great idea!
If Mike Tyson can talk to pigeons and play Same Name, why can’t Hollywood Madam Heidi Fleiss attempt to clean up her image with a new show on Animal Planet? I say again, why not?

And the name of the name of the new show? You gotta love this, oh so not Animal Planet…but the name of Heidi’s new show on Animal Planet is Heidi Fleiss: Prostitutes to Parrots. No, seriously, the name of the show is called Heidi Fleiss: Prostitutes to Parrots.
See this is why I like stories like this because no one in their right mind would believe the content coming to Animal Planet these days but with that cable network’s ratings this will probably be one of the less viewed programs in Animal Planet’s history.
Although I kinda like this.
Premiering Sunday July 31st at 10PM on both coasts, this one hour special will follow the former pimp throughout her efforts to care for 20 macaw parrots which for now are her focus after many years of running one of America’s most famed houses of prostitution.
Yeah, I know, I don’t get it either but will have to tune in to see just what this one is all about.
But dealing with the birds and her businesses is the challenge which now we know Heidi is changing her tune because if she takes care of birds before money, well her new life has begun. So apparently the special shows the drama and trauma of trying to work both areas of her new life. She now owns a laundromat and is opening one of those doggie day care joints so she’s pretty busy these days with legitimate enterprises that don’t include happy endings.
But all jokes aside, Heidi Fleiss: Prostitutes to Parrots is also a look at her struggle to remain clean and sober. And after the Amy Winehouse unhappy ending this past weekend how can you not give Heidi Fleiss some props for making a smart change in her life, right?

The good and the bad here for two very well known TV personalities, one ABC’s Katie Couric and the other NBC news anchor Tamron Hall.
First the bad. This is really bad for Tamron Hall but she’s handling it as 55 year old Kevin Lee Miller has been arrested in New York for shadowing her a bit too closely. This nutcase whack job apparently approached the MSNBC news host outside her Manhattan apartment and proceeded to follow her as she left her building. He came back a couple of days later and was picked up by police.

This is not the first time Hall has been stalked as she went through a similar episode while working for a Chicago television station in 2003 and 2004 when she was harassed by a man who targeted her online with bizarre sexually explicit photos and marriage proposals.
The good comes first as former CBS Evening News anchor Katie Couric will begin her immersion in to the ABC family with a guest host segment on The View on August 3rd.
I would suspect more of these appearances by Katie in the future which will lead to her new daytime talk show on ABC. On The View‘s blog an announcement says “we’re positively thrilled to welcome such a journalistic and television icon to the show.” No word yet as to which of the co-hosts of the show will be off the couch that day but we will update that part of the story as the August 3rd date approaches.

I miss my DirecTV. I’ve given Time Warner Cable a bit of a break lately as reading articles about cable disconnects and the current service offered by TWC answers all those questions. But I really do miss DirecTV’s NFL Sunday Ticket as I would really like to seem more New York Jets and Philadelphia Eagles games from the comfort of my couch rather than a thousand screaming fans at a sports bar.

Well at least we may get to see Ines Sainz on the sideline of the New York Jets. Or did she quit that gig as a sports reporter? Who cares, we just had fun going on TV Azteca and looking for a photo on their web-site. If you remember she was the hot looking sports reporter that felt popping out of her tight jeans along with her twin towers hanging out or her top was appropriate for the locker room of an NFL team.
Yes she has issues.
For those of you lucky sports fans out there never fear, the National Football League has settled its differences with its players and there will be a full NFL regular season and DirecTV is really happy.
Not only the did the satellite company jump for joy today but NBC, FOX, ESPN and the NFL Network all are extremely happy that this player lockout is over and they can all get back to work.
The players just ratified the deal with an up vote on the new agreement. The new deal will allow teams to negotiate contracts with veteran free agents and this year’s crop of new draft picks so that they can get to work on getting back in shape for the new season. All training camps are expected to be open by Sunday.
Millions of television and radio dollars were set to be lost had there not been this agreement which was approved by all team owners last week.

Wait a minute…is this true? Somebody brings a gun to the country club on Big Rich Texas? Oh wait a minute, the great State of Texas has a concealed weapons law that allows the personal possession of a firearm, right?
But the country club? A gun? These are ladies, right?
“We were the ‘wild west’ at one point,” says Bonnie, one of the cast members on Style Network’s Big Rich Texas. But with the second episode airing tonight “more fireworks are coming” to the show she says during a one on one interview with RealTVCritics.com.
Let’s talk about Bonnie for a minute. Sometimes when we think of reality show personalities, we figure they do these shows because they’re not trained to do anything else. For women we think they are living off their spouses. Not Dr. Bon Blossman. Yes Dr. Bon Blossman. Bonnie from Style Network’s Big Rich Texas chats “I have my PhD in Physiology, a Masters in Microbiology and a BS in Pre-Medicine,” on her educational background from the University of North Texas.
And she’s a reality star? Yes!

But running several businesses with her husband including her integration in Big Rich Texas seems to be her passion. And her business acumen surely comes out during one conversation with daughter Whitney. Watch the Luscious Lips video below and see how Bonnie, who calls Whitney her “sister,” negotiates the removal of a tattoo from her foot in exchange for a new set of enhanced lips.
Whitney’s tattoo says the infamous “c” word which Whitney claims “everybody likes” and she does not want to remove. And if mom Bonnie can’t convince Whitney to remove the tat, well the family membership at the country club is in jeopardy.
Uh oh! Heck there’s no show for Bonnie if there’s no country club membership. I mean isn’t that why it’s called Big Rich Texas.
But Bonnie plays it so cool. “She’s wanted to get her lips done for a while, probably since she was 15,” she says of Whitney’s need. So instead of yelling and screaming, praising Jesus or getting into a big mess with her “sister,” Bonnie uses the “if… then” move on Whitney, trading the removal of the tattoo for a new set of lips. If Whitney takes it off, Bonnie will set up an appointment to get work done on her daughter’s lips.

” It’s the deal of a lifetime Whitney,” says Bonnie on her very cool sales move. What a negotiator. Nice move on your own kid, Bonnie!
“I’ve always said no to the lips but it seemed like the perfect tradeoff,” says Bonnie.
Married for 18 years to her husband Jason along with daughter Whitney the couple has a son. Bonnie says they all will be part of Big Rich Texas. Her son is a dual sports college athlete that trains with Olympic Gold Medalist track and field sprinter Michael Johnson. Jason and her son, who we have agreed to not to identify by name or list where he attends school, were not real pumped at being part of Big Rich Texas. “You’ll see Jason in some upcoming episodes but he has his own credit card processing business and runs my ‘murder mystery’ business,” says Bonnie.
Fireworks are coming to Big Rich Texas. Even some fireworks from the locals who are confusing Big Rich Texas with Dallas, Divas & Daughters but Bonnie’s show is more than just Dallas. “There’s been a lot of negative blogging about that,” says Bonnie who wants to make clear that her show is about the State of Texas and not just about Dallas.
Bonnie takes another big step which will set off some fun fireworks with some folks over Bravo. “We are better than the Real Housewives,” she says of her sister network’s list of shows. “We’ve added a whole other element, our daughters and families,” she says on the big difference between the Bravo brand and Big Rich Texas.
With her cast members on Big Rich Texas, take that southern belle mentality when it come to these women and lose it, says Bonnie. “Southern belles don’t always get along,” she says of the content we will all see as the 10 episodes air on Style Network. And she says daughter Whitney “is a little spitfire herself and is not one to be messed with,”
When asked if these women were just a bunch of nice ladies sitting around chatting and drinking champagne Bonnie says “oh heck no!” to that question. Adding that “you can expect a lot of fireworks” as the show moves forward.
And finally the gun. “Somebody brings a gun to the club,” says Bonnie. “I’m not saying who,” as I continue to probe for more, but as I mentioned to Bonnie Big Rich Texas looks like it’s really gonna be fun.

I may have listened to one song by Amy Winehouse. Guess I wasn’t overly impressed because I never listened to a second song but did see some of her video content on YouTube which quite frankly was not music related but all negative. Yes that one video on stage where she was completely gone from focus was enough to turn me off of her pretty quickly.

The drugs that took control of her life and the way Amy Winehouse slapped the face of entering a place where she could dry out were not on her Outlook calendar. Getting Amy Winehouse in to rehab should have been the focus for everyone around her. Yet after watching the video below, how can you blame anyone but Amy Winehouse for her personal demise.
This quite frankly has become another one of those teachable moments in the history of teachable moments. This is not a quick comment on the use of drugs, which in a case like Amy’s was well beyond normal consumption. This is about the people who could have helped her a long time ago but were nothing more than parasites, leeching on to her for her fame and that she could sell CD’s for her handlers in the music business. These parasites needed to get to this woman early yet the longer they waited, the less of a future could be had by Amy Winehouse.
Her death, though a sad. sad day in the music business, was expected. Really, let’s not beat around the bush, she was a absolute mess of a human being before her demise. It just became much too late to help Amy Winehouse. Much too late. Watch the video. There’s enough content in her words as you listen to see that there was nothing left of this person. What she became could have been prevented, but once again let’s all let this be a teachable moment. And try, the next time we see the beginning of the breakdown of any human being, to step in to really, really help.
