“Show has pushed us to the limit” as ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Husband’s Suicide
This once again is the real part of reality television that nobody likes to bring to the forefront. And that is the people on some of these shows have some real personal issues that lead to this type of tragedy. Sadly enough this is not the first reality show person to commit suicide.
Russell Armstrong, husband of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member Taylor Armstrong, took his life several weeks before the re-launch of the show on Bravo. The 47 year old venture capitalist, who was going through some very serious financial issues, was found hanged in the bedroom of a house in Los Angeles.
Taylor Armstrong filed for divorce from her husband last month which details of their issues would be part of this seasons series of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills episodes. The new second season is expected to begin on September 5th yet no word from Bravo on the status of that date. But the Hollywood Reporter is saying that the network will wait 24 hours before deciding on the future of the show. Which in the TV business means he’s gone, we can get ratings and the show must go on.
Bravo said it was “deeply saddened by this tragic news” yet have not determined how to deal with Russell Armstrong’s death during the show.
In an interview with People Magazine Russell had enough of being on the show saying “this show has literally pushed us to the limit.”
