So TNT has decided that the drama has become a bit too much.  Off-screen that is.  The Jennifer Lopez mess with Marc Anthony thing is all over the evening entertainment news programs.  Why did they split?  Did Marc cheat with a flight attendant?  Or did he hook up with Jada Pinkett Smith, leading to the rumors that Will was upset, they broke up, so then did Marc and J-Lo…

On the next episode of Maury!

Hey, one thing we do know is that according to Entertainment Weekly the TNT drama HawthoRNe is no more on the network so we won’t find out if Marc Anthony’s character lives or dies after being gunned down in the final episode.

But “who cares” say most watchers of the show.  The third arc pretty much sucked after two really good first round seasons as the show, which was pretty cheesy anyway, just got really stupid.

And with the mess of screwed up marriage stories making hay on every slimy entertainment magazine and early evening entertainment news program, it’s see you later alligator to HawthoRNe.

Don’t get George Lopez started.  He said, during his last episode of Lopez Tonight, that another Latino brother is out of work after losing his late night show on TBS.  Now sista Jada is outta work, another Latino dude in Marc Anthony is unemployed and the world goes round and round.

So did you miss any of Season 1 or Season 2 of The Good Wife?  Well if you did you’re in luck.  You’re going to get a recap of those first two arcs of the CBS series this Sunday, all in a half hour special to air on the network beginning at 9:30PM.

You’re going to get a jammed packed half hour with a look toward the new season.  Video content of the first two seasons along with interviews with the cast of The Good Wife will all be part of this Sunday night special.

Season 3 of The Good Wife starts on a new day and time on CBS.  The premiere episode airs at 10PM on Sunday September 25th.

So I see at least four shows on the TV Guide list of shows that most of us are looking forward to seeing this new TV season.  But the long running, very popular magazine did the research and have listed the new programs we’re looking forward to seeing.  One note before I go in to their list…The Playboy Club, which I thought because of all the negative hype would be in the Top 10?  Doesn’t make the list.

Stephen Lang as Commander Nathaniel Taylor - 'Terra Nova'

FOX’s Terra Nova leads the pack, another one of those well hyped shows, at number one according to TV Guide.  Sarah Marie Gellar’s Ringer is second on the list, getting all of the juice on The CW promotional exposure and why not.  It looks pretty good.

Third and fourth are Prime Suspect and Person of interest, a couple of dramas.  They look solid.  But anything featuring Maria Bello is going to generate interest. Coming in at number 5 is New Girl with Zoey Deschanel followed by the only reality entrant in the field, yet another well hyped show on FOX in The X Factor in at 6.

Unforgettable and Pan Am follow at 7 and 8.  With Charlie’s Angels and Grimm rounding out the Top 10.

Well this is good news for Forest Whitaker fans and there are a lot of them.  Most of us, and I must include myself as a fan of the performer, really wanted him to be successful in the Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior spinoff but that show just did not catch on.

At all.  He was just OK, terribly miscast, great story-lines but the show, placed right behind the very popular Criminal Minds staple on CBS was not the place for Forest Whitaker.

Now he’s headed over to one of the best cable networks for drama and we’re not talking about the hot USA Network.  No the other hottie in TNT.

Forest Whitaker is taking his keyboard to co-write a cop drama titled H.I.K.E. OK what does H.I.K.E. mean to those of us not familiar with the Home Invasion Kidnapping Enforcement?  Oh, that’s what it means and this group of investigators will be based in Phoenix, Arizona, the kidnapping capital of the United States.

Hmmm.  OK this sounds interesting.

The group is run by a female police officer (oh maybe Annie Frost from that Bruckheimer thing on NBC that got canceled quickly) and Whitaker is a co-writer on the project.

Spike Lee is back in business at HBO.  No nothing about the levees in Louisiana but this time he’s hooking up with noted producer John Ridley to create Da Brick, a boxing drama that has the support of one of the game’s biggest names in Mike Tyson.  The story will focus on a young, African American kid who ends up going to prison and returns to the street of Newark, New Jersey to re-gain his life.

The Hollywood Reporter says casting will include John Boyega in the title role.  He was recently cast in the movie Attack the Block.  Also a familiar name and face on HBO in Julito McCullum who was in the network’s The Wire.  Milauna Jemai from NCIS will also be cast in the drama according to the Hollywood Reporter as Boyega’s character Donnie‘s mother.

Mike Tyson

The storyline has Donnie leaving prison at 18 years of age and becoming a man in what the Reporter quotes as “what it means to be a young, black man in supposedly post racial America.”

Yes, like the Mike Tyson story.

Oh boy, here we go again.  Another story about more people in the public eye that just can’t play right and now FOX News commentator Bill O’Reilly finds himself in the middle of a big mess that could get a lot stickier for the conservative talk host.

Gawker, the blog that really seems to have it in for anything related to FOX News, is reporting that Bill O’Reilly tried to use his influence as a well known personality to investigate a cop for allegedly is having an affair with his wife.

Gawker is reporting this, not us, as we always give credit where credit is due here at RealTVCritics.com because we can’t afford high priced lawyers.

Here’s the story.  Bill O’Reilly’s wife has apparently found residence in a different location than the FOX News commentator.  Gawker says Maureen O’Reilly has left the building after 15 years of marriage.  And the man who got chased in a van by Cheaters host Joey Greco undercover private eye Gomez was a police officer in the Nassau County PD.

Um, couldn’t she pick someone with, well let’s be real, more money?  Let’s see, police officer…leading talk show host on FOX News.  This is not Chinese arithmetic.

Anyway O’Reilly gets word that his wife is bumping you know whats with Kojak and all hell breaks loose.  Apparently another cop, the boss, brings up the affair to Kojak on behalf of Bill O’Reilly and the game is on.  Actually told the new boyfriend to end the affair.

Problem for O’Reilly…he was chatting with the former police commish about giving them a donation.  Um we mean a cash donation.  Not a good career move for Bill O’Reilly and with a Democratic Governor in the name of Cuomo running the state of New York, an investigation could ruin a lot of careers in the Nassau County Police Department.

This story stinks to holy hell and Bill O’Reilly, if he actually did this dirty deed, is a real dirty guy.  Oh, and by the way Bill, this is not the way to reconcile with your wife.  I know cause I watch a lot of Dr. Phil.

So last night I’m shutting down my computer, getting ready for a night of restful sleep (or is that restless sleep!) when I turn on KTLA’s 10 O’Clock News only to see what I thought was a vision.  A nightmare maybe or one of the strangest dreams I have ever had that didn’t include last year’s cast on The CW’s America’s Next Top Model.  No, unfortunately for me it was not that show but it was KTLA The CW.  And that was about all that was connected to watching this man climb the historic broadcast antenna of the Los Angeles based television station.

Now KTLA is located east of the real, true Hollywood craziness but crazy seems to have moved further down Sunset Boulevard to an area where I used to live.

Now I know why I moved out of Hollywood.

A man decides to climb the tower last night not because he likes KTLA, or Micah Olman or anyone associated with the station.  He was on a mission.  To send what he called “a message of revolution.”

Um, okaaaaaaaaaay!!!

He goes on to say that there are other revolutions taking place all over the world and there needs to be one here, I guess on Sunset Boulevard, and he wants all of us to join in on his mission.

Final word.  Police and fire got him off the tower after chatting him down.  He has been taken for a psychiatric exam, which I remember they used to call a 302 hold or a 5150 when I was back in Philly, before they decide to either charge him with trespass or several other crimes or send him to his shrink to adjust his meds.

Hey you own a retail establishment in Philadelphia and see how many nut cases you come across.  You’ll know what a 303 or a 5150 hold is for sure.

Who isn’t waiting for this?  Name someone that has watched a season, any season of the FX hit series Sons of Anarchy and we are all waiting.

Charlie Hunnam is 'Jax' on 'Sons of Anarchy' - Premieres Tuesday, September 6 at 10PM

Well wait no more.  Sons of Anarchy returns to FX on September 6th and one blogger notes that it will be the most trigger happy season ever in the history of the series.  Clay (Ron Perlman) and stepson Jax (Charlie Hunnam) are apparently at each other in the new season four more than ever.  And if you watch the trailer you will see just how nasty it’s going to get.

SAMCRO gets hooked up with a Mexican cartel this coming season and the most feared Latino actor on television is going to be in the new arc of episode.  Danny Trejo from the movie Machete and tons of other bad guy flicks will be running around scaring the heck out of us all this season.

Can’t wait.  10PM both coasts on FX.

A big day, a really big day today for actor Ed O’Neill.  Some thought he was branded as the slimy shoe salesman on the FOX television show Married With Children.  The show had a huge run for 11 seasons and 262 episodes that are still airing all over television in syndication which means you can find in just about anywhere.

Still on of the funniest shows on TV.

He plays the very quirky yet lovable Al Bundy with wife Peg (Katey Sagal) who went to star in FX’s Sons of Anarchy.  Along with Christina Applegate (Kelly Bundy) and David Faustino (Bud Bundy), Sunday nights were the most laughable nights on FOX on Married With Children.

Today Ed O’Neill got his props.  Outside the DSW Shoe Outlet on the Hollywood Walk of Fame as he gets a star for his efforts on television.

After Married With Children, Ed O’Neill went on to play Joe Friday in the short lived ABC cop drama Dragnet. Today he’s part of a great cast and a great show, again on ABC called Modern Family.  And he awaits word on his success with an Emmy Nomination for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for his role as Jay Pritchett.
