This took a lot of effort and planning. No doubt. To get 70,000 fans in one stadium to pull off a stunt like this is so very cool. There’s no way you could pull this one off anywhere but in the middle of the country. Elsewhere they’d be fighting over the execution or robbing someone in the parking lot of the stadium.
This past weekend at the Iowa-Northwestern football game this pre-game effort was clearly dramatic. Once you watch this video you will ask yourself several times how they set this up so well. All you can do is watch and wonder.
And if you notice, yes that is an NFL football. Hey its Sunday.

So the re-make is here. Footloose is working it’s way to number one at the top of the movie chart this weekend if all goes well. One thing about re-makes. When you’re 18 to 24 years of age, which is this the core movie-going audience, doing a re-do of a movie that was in the theaters 27 years ago is not something you remember. You either weren’t born or you were still pissing in your diapers when Kevin Bacon (who?) starred in the original.
Julianne Hough at a "Footloose" Autograph and Q&A at the Hillsdale Mall in San Mateo, California
Now Dancing With The Stars Julianne Hough is part of the new do-over of Footloose. With other movies like the really heavily promoted Ides of March and Dolphin Tale also premiering this weekend and the Footloose not really steaming up the critics reviews, Footloose still seems to be the new movie that will launch Julianne Hough’s movie career to new heights.
She’s got the big screen version of Rock of Ages on her list featuring a cast of names like Tom Cruise, Russell Brand and Will Forte, Julianne Hough’s career is about to blow-up big time. Voice over work in the animated Not Born to Be Gladiators and Diablo Cody’s Lamb of God, things can only get better for the Dancing With The Stars participant.

This is a show for men. There’s a moral to this story and that is you never cheat on your wife. Never if you’ve watched any minute of the first two episodes of the new FX horror drama American Horror Story.
Connie Britton as 'Vivien Harmon' and Dylan McDermott as 'Ben Harmon' in AMERICAN HORROR STORY
Imagine this guys. Your wife comes home and catches you in your shared bed bumping nastys with a 20 something student of yours. While extremely in significant trouble, you chase after your wife, naked and with a clearly guilty look on your face and she slices your arm with a kitchen knife.
Not a good way to keep your marriage in gear right?
Now you’re forced to leave your job in Boston and move to California (not so bad when February arrives) to start a new life in a new home to get away from the mess you created back east. And you move in to a house where the last residents exited via a murder suicide while another family was torched by a sleep walking husband who burned up the wife and kids.
Once again moving in to a house like this qualifies as one of those things a brotha just won’t do.
Dylan McDermott (Ben Harmon) and Connie Britton (Vivien Harmon) star in this sick, semi-twisted, psychotic, confusing absolutely chilling and thrilling new series on FX which is American Horror Story. Back from Dark Blue on TNT for Dylan McDermott and fresh off Friday Night Lights for Connie Britton, the first two episodes viewed by this writer made lunch a two hour effort showing the engagement of the quality of this show.
I could not put down the remote and get back to the office without viewing episode two of American Horror Story. Both the pilot and hour two were fantastic.
Now since I picked on cheating men, still asking myself why would anyone cheat on someone that looks like Connie Britton, I’m going to give our female readers a spoiler alert to watch the first two episodes of American Horror Story as Dylan McDermott seems to sleep in the buff and there are several scenes of him showing his derrier in both episodes.
Almost had to turn in my man card. Even I think he has a nice tail.
American Horror Story has an excellent and I do mean excellent cast. The perfectly cast Jessica Lange plays Constance, the nosy but equally twisted neighbor to the Harmon’s. While France Conroy from Six Feet Under plays the Harmon’s housekeeper Moira who also has a significantly strange background.
American Horror Story is a must view. No question. But you have to pay attention to the first two episodes to really get the foundation of the series and this one is a must give for a second season because the first go round, well I just can’t wait for next week’s episode.

This one is going to be a tough one to watch. Who among us has not watched or attended a wrestling match, enjoying the ongoing silliness and craziness of the sports following.
Well E:60 on ESPN will look at what goes on when the camera and lights go down. E:60 chronicles the rise and fall of wrestler Scott Hall and this is not a pretty review. Drugs and alcohol led to the decline of the popular personality and when you watch this video content from YouTube, well the opening of this promotional piece for E:60 will show you how Scott Hall’s image has darkened.
Wrestler Scott Hall, ESPN's 'E-60'
He wrestled under the name of Razor Ramon. A good looking guy that hit the circuit in the early 1990′s with the World Wrestling Federation. He worked directly with two big names in the sport those being Hulk Hogan and Kevin Nash as the nWo stable. He was a popular figure on the circuit. But in 1998 things started going in an awful direction.
During that year his wife, Dana Lee Burgio, wrote a letter admonishing the sport for allowing Scott Hall to perform in his while under the influence of drugs and alcohol. The opening segment of the video, well you can see this guy should be no where near the public. Several arrests and a rumored overdose later, Scott Hall’s career as a wrestler was over.
His condition forced his wife to cut off all ties with the wrestler.
E:60 airs Wednesday night at 8PM. Let’s hope the documentary answers some questions. And gets Scott Hall some help

He’s fast becoming one of media’s hottest personalities and his growth over the last 10 plus years has been amazing.
From The Original Kings of Comedy to his new daytime talk program, Steve Harvey is blowing up big time. And his new daytime talk program got a big boost today as the NBC owned and operated television stations has signed on to carry his new show.
What does that mean? It means Steve Harvey’s crossover appeal is huge. This is not the “you go girl” Wendy Williams show where ghetto chat is in order. Nor Maury Povich where “you are the father” is heard on four of the five shows aired weekly. Nor is this a show that is on at 3 o”clock in the morning. Or on a station, well one of those local TV stations you can’t find on your channel listings.
With NBC finally seeking minority content for their television brand, Steve Harvey is the perfect fit. His role as host of Family Feud has re-energized that show turning it in to the fastest growing show in syndication.
Steve Harvey’s incredible growth continue. And he’s engaging to all viewers. This will be a huge test for whether he can bring in a solid audience because with what daytime talk offers in the form of Bill Cunningham and Jeremy Kyle, bring on Steve Harvey.

Will this ever go away? No. Simple answer. Kelsey Grammer is on a mission again to trash the image of his ex-wife who took about. $50,000,000 from him in their recent divorce.
Oh I get it now. Yeah let’s trash the wench! If an ex-wife took $50,000,000 from me I would take the time to go on an Australian morning television show to promote my new series Boss and trash her as well.
Yeah. To hell with trying to be a good guy and build up some juice about a new show.
Kelsey Grammer and Camille
This divorce falls well below nasty. You kinda though it was over right?
Let’s quote Kelsey, “In my mind (Real Housewives of Beverly Hills) was my parting shot to her,” he said on Sunrise.
But wait, there’s more.
“So long,” continues the actor. Well we say that to all exes but he added “here’s a present to you.”
Well I would have traded the $50 million for leveraging the fact that I’m Kelsey Grammer wife to get a gig on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills any day.
This follows Camille’s outburst to the New York Post last year where the line “he wanted to keep me preoccupied in California while he was off having his affair in New York.”
Wow!
Gotta say this is so much fun.
But wait, there’s…OK there’s no more but you can expect some holiday greeting from the couple as this continues to persist.

Well this had never happened in television history. Where one network owns the right to say they have 20 of the top 30 television shows on the air.
Wow! Not good for ABC, NBC or FOX, although I’m thinking ABC is the only network with a chance to do that but I’m not sure this could happen ever again.
CBS put their domination in effect for the first three weeks of this new television season. Meaning that the network led all other networks in total viewers from September 19th through October 8th.
Alex O'Loughlin and Taryn Manning, 'Hawaii Five O'
Adam W. Kepler from the New York Times wrote the story in today’s online edition. He mentions the addition of Tim Allen’s Last Man Standing as the new ABC entry in to the Top 30 yet a lot of writers actually called the show tired and old school I think Last Man Standing with Tim Allen was solid and it did well in the ratings as well to get it in to position to help ABC.
But CBS has some great new content in comedy and drama that will keep them in front of the rest of the network pack. The new 2 Broke Girls on Monday night has great positioning in a block of solid comedies. The new Person of Interest with Jim Cavaziel is also a good drama addition to the network along with Unforgettable. And Friday night’s A Gifted Man is an excellent drama.
Take re-make of Hawaii Five – O which premiered last season can only get better. So CBS has really earned this new positioning with very well produce content.

So this is not a real TV story until we made it one. And we like taking what we can see on TV and lead it to a film like the trailer for The Avengers that was just released today.
Now real old school TV people liked The Avengers that ran from 1961 to 1969. OK this has absolutely nothing to do with the super-hero series from Marvel Comics closer to present day but when is the last time anyone talked about Patrick Macnee or Diana Rigg on at TV blog?
Yeah you got that right, jocko, you won’t see those two names mentioned from the old school TV series in a long while. Gotta say The Avengers was a cool, British spy show that we all liked.
Fast forward to the future. Two videos for your watching. The Comic Con released animated version of the new school The Avengers trailer and now The Avengers movie trailer for the action packed real person movie with The Avengers trailer below for you to review.
Check it out. Both are very cool.

It’s been over 10 years since we last saw comedian Tim Allen on network television as Home Improvement shut down production in 1999. That’s a long time for a guy who had the number one rated show on TV when it ran on ABC.
Tim Allen and Nancy Travis in 'Last Man Standing' on ABC
But Tim Allen’s movie career just blew up big time. The Toy Story and Santa Clause trilogy of movies kept him really busy. Until now. Now he’s headed back to the ABC Television Network with a new comedy Last Man Standing looking for the same success he gained in the 90′s with Home Improvement.
ABC is stacked with great comedies. Stacked. And tonight Last Man Standing with Tim Allen is not given the great lead in that some new comedies just starting on a network get. In fact it will be the lead in to Dancing With The Stars on ABC. Last Man Standing gets the 8PM slot prior to DWTS with the expectation that Tim Allen will do real well on his own.
And that expectation should be achieved. Even if some writers think the show is old and tired.
Tim Allen is really funny. As a standup comedian, where he started his trade from Home Improvement and the movies that he’s appeared. He’s perfectly safe in the ABC TV environment where comedies seem to be able to thrive with the success of Modern Family, The Middle and the really well produced new show Suburgatory which first two episodes were just sensational.
We’re gonna give you some links to a couple of few articles about the show but check Tim Allen out tonight on Last Man Standing. We think it’s a hit.

Talk to anyone connected to the National Basketball Association and you will learn pretty quickly that now as the commissioner of the league has canceled the first two weeks of the season it may just be the beginning.
Kobe Bryant
NBA owners aren’t making money. Players are walking away with huge dollars. And that’s not going to work in this economy. Take the Maloof family that owns the Sacramento Kings. They also own a bunch of hotels including sin city, Las Vegas. Guess what? Nobody goes to Vegas to lose money because no one has money so owning an NBA team, which was all about ego, is now about making money. And very few teams in the NBA make money.
Hence the current lockout.
One thing you can count on is the NBA All Star game. But former players who are close to the current group of active players are now saying there may not be an NBA season until 2012. That any games this season will not take place.
The NBA lockout is no joke. This is for real. And ask anyone who is an NBA fan, knowing the kind of money that these players are making, well they don’t really care if there’s an NBA season at all this year.
With the economy in its current mess, people seem to have other options on their agenda than the National Basketball Association.
And millions and I do mean millions of dollars going to all networks in ad sales for the NBA are now gone.
Bottom line. This could be the end of the professional basketball for a few years if this lockout continues. Because no one really cares about these guys whether they’re playing or they are not.
Being a huge NBA fan myself. To hell with this league. Bring on the college kids.
