This brings back the reason some cheerleader squads in college basketball or any level of sports have cut back on the antics attempted by kids who have no common sense.  You don’t see the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders flipping themselves on the sidelines up in the air nor will you see any member of the Indiana Pacemates do a twist and turn while five or more feet airborne.

So that was an editorial statement from RealTVCritics.com so take that as you read it.

Now let’s shift to Michigan State in their game against last week.  Cheerleader Taylor Young went face first on the hardwood floor which of course is not part of this university’s curriculum and had to be carted off the floor on a stretcher and neck-brace in a fall that you will see in the video.  So I guess schools will be revisiting cheerleader flips and fly arounds once again but of course the issue will go away for a minute until the next time a kid gets seriously hurt.  But it’s her Dad’s response on Facebook that was classic.

After seeing his the photo of his daughter laid out unconscious, well you take a look at the picture we grabbed from our friend over at Sportsgrid.com.  Yes Taylor’s assets, with pun truly intended, get national coverage after her mishap.  Her father Charles Young took to Facebook saying “I’m glad to see your booty isn’t getting big…no one likes a chick with a big butt…love you…”

Thanks Dad.  Baby girl has a concussion and you’re focused on her butt.  And by the way there are a lot of guys that like big butts but let’s remember she’s a white girl so that could make a difference.

Oh by the way Taylor was taken to the hospital and check over.  All is good.  Even her butt.

Praise Jesus!  No none of us will have to endure another holiday season without the visuals of a lot of black dudes with a few cool white boys running around the hardwood court in short pants.  Those dudes and boys would be the professional basketball players in the National Basketball Association who are finally getting to work on Christmas day.

Yes with the lockout over, preseason camps getting underway along with the trades coming of current players and signing of free agents.  Now the season starts with five games being  broadcast on TNT, ABC and ESPN.  Yeah five games starting at 12 noon Eastern starting with the Boston Celtics and the New York Knicks followed by Miami Heat against the Dallas Mavericks.  The first game is on TNT and while game two is taking place on ABC.

Next ABC television is keeps hold of the NBA reins by broadcasting the Chicago Bulls at the Los Angeles Lakers followed by Orlando Magic and the Oklahoma City Thunder which you have to switch over to ESPN to watch.  Then ESPN closes the night with the Los Angeles Clippers and the Golden State Warriors led by former NBA announcer and new coach Mark Jackson.

Well that didn’t take long.  And what a perfect place for Christopher Meloni to get back in to the TV business with a really hot show on HBO.  The former Detective Stabler on the NBC crime drama Law & Order: Special Victims Unit may be moving on to HBO’s True Blood according to a report from TV Line.

Meloni would join the cast as an “incredibly powerful vampire” according to TV Line.  And that’s about all we can tell you for now about this report.  Meloni spent 12 years working with producer Dick Wolf on Law & Order: SVU before deciding to move on this past season.

Chris Meloni is finishing up his role as Colonel Hardy in the next version of Superman which also stars Amy Adams.

Oh can this can any better.  Or any worse for the 72 day mess Kris Humphries agreed to with Kim Kardashian.  Now the first person in this couple has filed for an annulment of his short term marriage to the ex Mrs. Humphries citing fraud and wants the court to affirm that as the reason for a legal separation.

Problem is Kim has already filed for divorce.  So that will set up some interesting court proceedings which means maybe they will air this one on digital TV here in Los Angeles.

But wait there’s surely more.

Just for the record, the state of California only gives an annulment to a marriage for reasons of fraud, bigamy, incest, force or if the pair that got hitched were underage.

So Kris and Kim seem to be one outta five.  Hey we can start talking percentages again since Humprhies will be getting back to the hardwood floors of the NBA later this month with the Los Angeles Clippers.  But Kim won’t be in the seats at Staples, no way.

Oh yes please broadcast this one.  The court proceedings for this divorce or annulment or whatever you want to call it because no more Casey Anthony or Dr. Conrad Murray to depress us.

Yeah we call the personalities rather than reality stars because really what is a reality star?  You gotta give these ladies their props as in the Kardashians since if there’s any group of women close to that star category it’s probably them.

We do our best to not talk about the silliest things in the reality TV world but since Kourtney Kardashian is pregnant again and it’s trending big time on the internet we felt we had to put up this story.  So here we go.

“Yes I’m pregnant,” she says, using those three words that most men who forgot to stop at a local Walgreens or CVS most definitely do not want to hear.  But Kourtney is married and this is her second go round as being the baby mama for her husband Scott Disick as the couple shared the wonderful news with Us Weekly.

Kim Kardashian weighed in by saying “I’m so excited for Kourt and Scott,” on the new baby news.

This just ran on my TV set here in Los Angeles.  I think it was KCAL9 or CBS 2.  I had to watch this twice as I was just undressing in my office to don my workout gear to do a quick run and walk on Wilshire Boulevard.  This on stopped me in my tracks.

A commercial from a group called the Californians for Population Stabilization.  Some group I had never heard of until now.  I checked out their site stats and not a whole heck of a lot of people visit this URL.  Guess cause it’s all about California.  But what the commercial states is, well, one of the most amazing offerings ever.

Take away the fight over illegal aliens living in the state of California.  The commercial could care less about them.  Which was surprising because that’s what seems to be the huge battle going on all across America.  The massive number of illegal aliens living and working in this country.  OK so those people may have a point where we all agree something needs to be done.  But this commercial leaves that problem completely alone.

And left alone very creatively during this commercial.

But now the charge is against legal immigration.  Yes legal immigration.  Those people who are permitted to come in to this country who have all of their papers in place, have done all the right things to get here and did not cross the border illegally from Mexico or Canada to take up residence or take jobs away from those born here.

Yes immigration has now taken a new turn. Hell the Tea Party must be loving this.  Or maybe they’re even stunned at the effort by the Californians for Population Stabilization to stop the flow of legal immigrants to this country.

The guy selling us on this ridiculous concept is perfect for the part.  A white guy with blondish brown hair who certainly looks pretty Republican from Orange County California.  And he sells it pretty well.  But you have to listen or look twice to really get what he’s saying.

Yes, they want to keep out all immigrants, even legal ones.

They’re taking jobs from Americans already out of work.  So keep them all out he says.

Wow!  You can only say wow!  Amazing what this country has become is a little scary.  Soylent green is really people, huh?

OK so this is something most men look forward and so do women.  Here’s the problem.  Men can watch it on their own, no problem.  Women can watch it alone with no problem.  Now let’s say you have a wife or girlfriend, right.  And tonight you, as a guy, want to watch some of the finest, hottest women you will ever see or ever meet at any time in your life.

Question?  Will you be able to watch the Victoria Secret Fashion Show on CBS without salivating out of all the teeth and gums in your mouth?

Hell no.

And you’re in big trouble if you do so if you’re in that position of having a wife or girlfriend, here’s what you say about the first skimpy outfit worn by some 20 something model without an ounce of fat on her body, ready?

Yeah!  That will get you at least past the first 12 minutes of the show.  Then you have to pull out your computer and really go to their web-site and BS your way to watch the full show.

Another sad but unfortunate example of being overweight and out of shape in America leading to the death of another well known person at an early age.  For those of us, and there were several million viewers, who watched Patrice O’Neal roast Charlie Sheen on Comedy Central remember his very funny but down and dirty rip on the much maligned actor.

The actor/comedian passed away today at the early age of 41.  He suffered a stroke in October and was recovering from that medical malady caused by his battle with diabetes but passed away last night according to several news organizations.

Patrice O’Neal was also appeared on The Office on NBC and The Chappelle Show.  And was a regular on the Opie and Anthony radio show on Sirius/XM.  From the Opie portion of that show the radio guy said “The funniest and best thinker I’ve ever known.  Period.”

For several weeks local Los Angeles television stations along with their digital channels ran part time and full time coverage of the Michael Jackson manslaughter trial.  Today will mark the final television coverage of this trial that was fascinating while watching the many hours of trial coverage and a bit voyeuristic for anyone interested in the days when Court TV, now TruTv,  broadcast such coverage.

But today’s sentencing which will end the case has been a nasty way to get rid of this mess.  It has been simply ugly.  Truly ugly.  Everything that this monster Dr. Conrad Murray did or didn’t do has come to light in the last hour or so of his sentencing to four years in prison.  This judge literally ripped Murray apart, taking every step to highlight the care or lack of care he took when in charge of the medical effort for singer Michael Jackson.

This was no joke.  This was the worst TV coverage ever.  This judge described Dr. Conrad Murray in a little more than an hour as the worst human being on not only the face of this planet but on this universe.

No question there is no one at all that will miss this ongoing mess of a case.  There is nothing left of this man or nothing left of Michael Jackson’s aura that has any substance here.  Neither person, whether it be Dr. Murray nor Michael Jackson comes out looking like anything more than what society has become.

Miserable.

Gee another daytime talk show…don’t we have enough?

I don’t know about anyone else but there are more daytime talk programs on television that there’s no end to the genre that has grown extensively since Oprah left to start OWN and networks dumped soap opera programming.

Almost has you really missing One Life to Live and The Guiding Light.  Because if you get past maybe Dr. Drew Pinky’s LifeChangers daytime show, the rest is nothing more but crap.

Makes you really look forward to Intelligent Talk coming from Katie Couric next fall.

'Bethenny Ever After's Bethenny Frankel

But anyway with the plethora of daytime talk pr0grams on today there’s one that was on the development block that was dropped faster than an assistant basketball coach at Syracuse University who likes putting his hands on little boys.  That’s former Bravo reality star Bethenny Frankel’s advice talk program that no TV stations wanted to air.

Here’s the problem.  With show’s like Anderson Cooper, Bill Cunningham (who?), Drew and a few others along with Ellen and The View, plus Katie, Steve Harvey, Jeff Probst and others, there really wasn’t a lot of air space left for Bethenny Frankel.

Now it’s no longer on the pitch block.  The show, which was looking to get started in fall 2012, is DOA and will not get a green light as they call it in the TV business.

No major TV station group would pick up the show which every new program needs to get a head start on what is called clearance in the television world.  That’s pretty much a no go if a FOX, NBC, ABC, CBS or even Sinclair group of TV stations decide not to pick up the show.

What’s next for Bethenny?  Bethenny Ever After is going in to a new season on Bravo.
