You do.  You really have to feel for this man who has to go toe to goose toe with this wild goose.  This is probably why TV people like the Today Show‘s Al Roker doesn’t do animal stories.  Yeah, every once in a while Al will go on a safari in the wild but he’s always safe because brothas don’t do animals unless they’re slinging dope and have a pit bull standing guard.

One More Time, Another Gay Joke, Another Outrage This Time from ‘The Voice’s Carson Daly

March 29th, 2012 No comments

Here we go again.  Really here we go again.  You think people would be a whole heck of a lot smarter but now TV and Radio personality Carson Daly finds himself in hot water along with his career on NBC’s The Voice and his radio show which airs in Los Angeles and is syndicated in other markets across the country.

Really is Carson Daly stupid or something?  Does he not watch the news or is head so far up his rear end that the only thing this moron watches is his show The Voice and listen to only himself during his radio show?

This guy is now on the list, the long list, of homophobic idiots.

Period.  End. Stop.

Carson Daly The Voice

Carson Daly 'The Voice'

First off the story is connected to the nutcase pilot that forgot his koo koo for coconuts medication and went all wacko on a JetBlue flight to Las Vegas.  Let’s begin by saying that a nutcase pilot that goes crazy during a flight with 150 plus passengers on board is not funny.  It’s really not funny.

What did Carson Daly say?  “With my luck it would be like…”this is the flight going to the gay pride parade in San Francisco…I mean, that would be my colleagues,”

Seriously Carson Daly?  Seriously?

First off I personally know a few gay guys that could kick Carson Daly’s ass so hard he’d be crapping out of his ears.  In other words I would not get in to a fight with any gay dude because with my luck someone would have a video camera and that content would be the big story on Action News.

I don’t want to be the big story on Action News.  No, I really do not want to be the big story on Action News.  But I’d sure like to see Carson Daly on Santa Monica Boulevard near Club Rage about 2AM just to see how his skinny little ass would negotiate his way out of the neighborhood.

Haven’t we had enough of this type of talk?  When will this ever end?

“This morning I attempted to make fun of myself & offended others by mistake.  I sincerely apologize,” said Carson Daly in a statement on Twitter.

Apology, well just ask any gay guy.  Apology not accepted.

He’s Back! It’s All Steven Seagal, All The Time with ‘True Justice’ This Weekend on Reelz

March 29th, 2012 No comments

OK so this is definitely going to be a guy’s weekend.  Some college and pro hoops, right?  Yeah, but not really.  Baseball’s coming back?  Yeah but who cares, right?  Yeah who cares.  It’s about that Reelz Channel which gave us The Kennedy’s and now is starting a new drama starring the guy we all like to see slap around criminals and other low-end persons for some 40 movies which according to Steven Seagal brought in over $3 billion in sales.

And not one Oscar out of the 40 films.  Big deal I say.

steven seagal true justice1

Steven Seagal in Reelz Channel's 'True Justice'

When the Wall Street Journal does a story on the money-making martial arts expert known as Steven Seagal, well that means you’ve kind of made it.  And Reelz Channel is jumping on the bandwagon where A&E latched on to by working with Seagal on the cop drama True Justice which premieres Friday night with many additional showings over the weekend.

True Justice is based in Seattle.  Yes, people there is crime in Seattle.  Now they may be a bit overzealous on the way True Justice is described on the Reels.com web-site as “On the streets of Seattle, everyday is a war.”

Yes that’s a bit much.

Sarah Lind is 'Deputy Sarah Montgomery' in 'True Justice'

But Steven Seagal plays Elijah Kane, team leader of a five person undercover group of cops who bend the law, not break it as one of the quotes in the promo video says.  I like this one on the website.  “Only the bravest will survive.  If you are on the wrong side, they are coming after you.”

Really thought those people working at Microsoft in Seattle were really nice people.  Guess not according to the description of Steven Seagal’s True Justice.

The rest of the cast of characters…well pretty much a lot of new faces for you to watch.  A couple of hotties, one other white guy and of course one black guy because there’s probably only one black guy living in Seattle.  But you gotta love Reelz Channel for having the urge to hook up with Steven Seagal.  The network’s male viewership will go outta the roof this weekend with not only True Justice but a couple of other Seagal focused movies like Above the Law, a backgrounder on the martial arts crime fighter along with a behind the scenes special on the making of True Justice.

Bottle of Dewars and lots of ice!  It’s Steven Seagal all the time this weekend on Reelz!

Yeah, This is a TV Blog, But We Say You Gotta Love J. Cole’s ‘Work Out’ Music Video

March 27th, 2012 No comments

OK I gotta say we do talk a bit about video content on YouTube and elsewhere but now that I have about an hour drive to Santa Ana, California for a client in that city I get a chance to listen to the radio.

A lot of radio.

YouTube Preview Image

Now I could listen to all news radio KNX on the AM side but I already know the Lakers suck, the traffic is bad and the idiots running this country along with the super-idiots that are trying to run this country have limited clue, I have no interest in the information station’s content.

Rapper J. Cole

Rapper J. Cole

So it’s Power 106 and 97.1 Amp Radio. Along with 93.5 KDAY. But when you’re sitting in your car for an hour I tune in Power 106 listening to Yesi Ortiz and the crew there especially when they play that Work Out by rapper J. Cole.

I really like this song. So I was playing around on YouTube and thought I would just put it up for you to listen to and have some fun with a really cool song that is tracking really huge on radio and the web.

After $155 Million Weekend, ABC Family Snags TV Rights to ‘The Hunger Games’

March 26th, 2012 No comments

I really like it when we can chat about the most popular movie to ever hit the big screen and we can connect it in some way to television.  Yes this has been an historic weekend at a box office that needed a jolt as the movie The Hunger Games.   An $155 million weekend has bolted the cult favorite to a position behind Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 and The Dark Knight

Um, yes that’s a fantastic weekend for The Hunger Games, no question in anyone’s mind that likes this genre of movies.

Well ABC Family, the Disney managed cable channel now has put up a ton of cash to grab the television rights to air not only The Hunger Games but the follow-up movie Catching Fire, set to be in theaters November 22nd of 2013.

Not only did The Hunger Games blow up all over the United States but The Hunger Games is expected to top the movie world internationally as well with big numbers in Australia and Great Britain.

Both films, The Hunger Games and Catching Fire are expected to air on ABC Family some time in 2014.

How Do The Women Look Good on Style Network’s ‘Big Rich Texas?’ Ask the Guy They Call ‘Dr. A’

March 25th, 2012 No comments

“Dallas is a city with many beautiful women,” says the one person responsible for the way cast members look on Style Network’s reality show Big Rich Texas.  And if you look at some of the pictures placed below, well you see that the so called Southern Belle image still exists in the city of Dallas and the state of Texas.

'Big Rich Texas' Sunday Nights on 'Style Network' - From Left to Right, Grace Dieb, Kalyn Niccole Braun, Whitney Whatley, Leslie Birkland, Maddie Poe, Hannah Gelbert Martin, Melissa Poe, Bonnie Myer

But who is this one person, one you may or may not have seen in the show which is now in season two and makes the women on Big Rich Texas look good, really good?  Well RealTVCritics.com had a chance to chat with the doctor who has done several procedures on cast members from Big Rich Texas.  He’s Dr. Jeffrey Adelglass, a Dallas based cosmetic surgeon more pleasantly known as “Dr. A.”

From 'Big Rich Texas' on Style Network, 'Dr. A' Jeffrey Adelglass

From 'Big Rich Texas' on Style Network, 'Dr. A' Jeffrey Adelglass

“Botox, fillers and other advanced things to make them beautiful” are part of some of the procedures for cast members say Dr. A on his work with the show.   Because of confidentiality agreements with those cast members Dr. A can’t go in to specifics on individual cast members but Dr. Bon Blossman admitted in a previous interview with RealTVCritics.com that she has no problem admitting that she likes the work she has had done on her body.

“I’m not one of those people who denies what I’ve had done…why lie about it and who cares,” says Bon Blossman.  “Wrinkles bother me.” she said in our previous conversation.  “I get fillers, I get botox and so does everyone else.”

Step in Dr. A.

He calls his business Skintastic.  That’s the work that Dr. A does in his practice that’s really big in Dallas.  And for Big Rich Texas Dr. A does some really “skintastic” work on the women in Big Rich Texas.  In fact if you check out the link below you’ll see a lot of his offerings to show you why Dallas and the surrounding area is more than the Dallas Mavericks of the NBA and the Dallas Cowboys of the NFL.

“We’re famous for competition and all those teams maintain a competitive edge and the women of Texas want to maintain that edge.”

And don’t think Dr. A doesn’t see or feel that competitive tension from the women, even their daughters on Big Rich Texas.  He’s right in the mix over his past two seasons on the reality show.  “This is a high tension, high stakes atmosphere and families are going to have opinions and they get over it,” he said about the changing nature of the interaction from the cast members on Big Rich Texas.

Now for the real fun stuff.  Dr. A says he can share some of his secrets of Hollywood on screen types that have has some sort work done on their bodies.  Yes clearly he knows when someone in his field has done some cutting or pasting on some of your favorite performers.  They include…

Frozen face.  I cracked up at this one because it’s so real.  “Say anything and they can’t react,” says Dr, A of TV and film performers who have, well frozen face.  “You tell them you fell off a cliff, they can’t move a muscle,” says Dr. A.

Next is uneven brows.  High brows on men, low brows on women.  Then there’s “duck lips” when women “look like ducks or guppies.”  Next comes the blowfish face when the cheeks are too big.  “Too much filler,” is what Dr. A calls it.  Finally it’s the “hand sign” when women don’t do work on their hands but have done work everywhere else.  “Men usually check out women to see if they have a wedding ring but women do things to look younger in the face but not on their hands.”

You gotta like this world of making women l00k younger and younger.

So now you know a bit more about Big Rich Texas.  And about Dr. A, Dr. Jeffrey Adelglass, the man responsible for making the cast on Big Rich Texas look good, really good.

You can catch Big Rich Texas on Style Network with new episodes Sunday nights 9 Eastern on the cable channel.

Conservative FOX News Tanks, Liberal Everywhere Else NBC, ABC, CBS and CNN Grow Viewers

March 19th, 2012 No comments

BREAKING NEWS!!!  Yes this is breaking news for the network news programs.  People are actually tuning back to watch network news programs which is a reversal of bad fortunes for all of those television people who have called for the demise of news programming.

Brian Williams from NBC Nightly News along with Brad Pitt
Brian Williams from NBC Nightly News along with Brad Pitt

Everyone except for FOX News is celebrating.  Maybe it’s because people are pretty sick and tired of a cable news network that spews racial hatred, sexist male, anti-gay rhetoric that even some conservatives just have to tune out.

Yaaaaaaaaaayyyyyy!!!!

The Project for Excellence in Journalism’s annual State of the Media Report says the big three network news programs at ABC, CBS and NBC grew upwards of 4.5% which is an increase of some 1 million viewers which quite frankly fantastic.  Yes they are significantly older viewers but the growth is good news for those three networks.

Let’s go to the cable side.  Even CNN, the much maligned network that we’ve trashed many times as they play musical chairs with on-air hosts and producers, even increase in viewers as their viewers were up 16 percent.  Yeah, that’s an increase from pretty much nowhere when you think of where CNN was many moons ago but any movement up for this network, well is movement up.

Even MSNBC has increased audience by a meager 3% yet that’s another cable news channel that can use any bit of positive news.

Speaking of FOX News, well they dropped several percentage points over the period of research by The Project.  But they are still the leader no matter what the drop they are the highest revenue generator of all of the cable channels.  Read more at the link below from the Hollywood Reporter.

Lots of ‘Walkers’ Chewing, Eating, Bloody Real Guy Finale on AMC’s ‘The Walking Dead’

March 19th, 2012 No comments

Now you know last night’s episode of AMC’s The Walking Dead was going to bring in monster ratings, definitely pun intended.  Lots of blood just in case you missed it live, lots of cast members getting chewed up, turning in to “walkers” in probably the best episode so far in both seasons of The Walking Dead.

The Walking Dead -Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs) and Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln)

The Walking Dead -Carl Grimes is 'Chandler Riggs' and Rick Grimes is 'Andrew Lincoln'

The farm where Herschel lived with his family is no longer the farm where Herschel lives.

And over 9 million lovers of the AMC horror drama watched the finale of one of television’s hottest newcomers that even some network TV executive are saying “wow” to the level of interest in The Walking Dead.

Those 9 million people, the highest in the series history, saw The Walking Dead get back to what male viewers who watch the show, missed on earlier episodes.  What did we all miss?  “Walkers” eating up people of course!!

And then that Darth Vader looking dude with the two armless whatever the hell they were?  Yeah!!!!

That’s what we all want, right?  OK it’s only television but certainly The Walking Deadgot a bit too weepy and whiny for a good minute which really ticked off a lot of viewers.  Nobody cares about the interaction  between or among the characters that made The Walking Dead nothing more than a bad episode of The Good Wife.  No way we wanted that.

Last night’s episode proved that the new upcoming arc of the series will be just as fantastic as this finale.  Too much time spent on the farm, too much family type content did not make any of its core viewers happy.

But you can’t beat the season finale of this really good, unique show.

Hey even ABC’s The River had some so-called “walkers” is last week’s episode.

The Walking Dead.  Great TV.

As ‘Oprah’s OWN Cancels ‘Rosie O’Donnell’ Awful Show,Let the Blame Game Begin

March 18th, 2012 No comments

Well here we go.  Oprah’s OWN cable channel is treading some serious water right about now because no one is watching the network.  OWN got a big break recently but of course it all comes from the hands of none other than Oprah Winfrey.  The one on one interview with Bobbi Kristina Houston after her mother Whitney’s sudden death gave the network some serious props but can OWN survive on all Oprah all the time.

Of course not.

Roxie O'Donnell and Oprah Winfrey

Roxie O'Donnell and Oprah Winfrey

But one show that was expected to generate some serious buzz for OWN became a quick disaster.  And that disaster has ended quickly for Rosie O’Donnell”s entry on OWN that was sent to the canceled bin by the network.

No ratings equals no revenue equals no show.  Yes, no show any longer on OWN for Rosie O’Donnell.  Who is to blame?  Well we can take our guess and say that Rosie O’Donnell is too obnoxious in the new age of 2012 and suburban mothers don’t want to watch her let alone have their kids turn on her loud mouth.

OK that was a bit much.

But really there’s more.  How about trying to build a network, any network, around Rosie O’Donnell.  Simply one of the dumbest programming moves since putting Jay Leno at 10PM on NBC.

Yeah that was dumb.  But at least the network corrected a huge mistake.

Jay Leno

Jay Leno

We’d go on but there’s a great article in The Daily Beast simply titled “Rosie O’Donnell’s Disastrous Oprah Winfrey Network Experience,” Ramin Satoodeh links way behind the scenes of a show that seemed to have no chance of survival.  In other words what a mess.

Read on.

“Catfight!!! Catfight!!!” as Sharon Osbourne Takes a Hit for Firings on ‘The Talk’

March 15th, 2012 No comments

You gotta love this stuff, you really do.  First you have The View on ABC Television where the content among the hosts on camera and behind the scenes gets a little testy.

Gotta love it!

Leah Remini

Leah Remini

Now there’s the CBS daytime show The Talk.  Same thing.  A group of women from all phases of the American society sitting around chatting about topics women love to hate.  Well, that in my experience with women, is just about everything.

And that’s why I don’t do well anymore on Match.com!

Sharon Osbourne and Kelly Osbourne

Sharon Osbourne and Kelly Osbourne

So now The Talk, a knock-off of The View meaning not a lot of people watch it, made some major changes in hosting duties and Leah Remini, one of those fired host, is not going away quietly.

I’m telling you, you gotta love this!

“Sharon thought me and Holly were ‘Ghetto’” said Remini in a Tweet.

Um, grammatically the correct phrasing of that sentence, Leah, should be “Sharon thought Holly and I…”  Usually the incorrect phrasing is used regularly on such upscale daytime programs like The Maury Show or Jerry Springer.

Yeah, Leah, “me and Holly” quite frankly is really ghetto.

But moving right along…

You can read more about this cat-fight at the link below.
