His empire keeps growing.  And why not.  Ryan Seacrest without question is one of the biggest names in entertainment who has solid credentials in both radio and television.

Who else can say they have foundation in both media?  Nobody.

Now Ryan is building a bigger and better relationship with his current radio partners over at Clear Channel, the biggest radio group in the country.  Seacrest has signed a $60,000,000 deal to stay with KISS FM in Los Angeles, his flagship radio station and provide other content for their large group of radio stations.

Included in the morning version of his radio show is Z100 in New York but Ryan also has a show that runs in the middle of the day on Clear Channel owned and other radio stations.  ‘On Air with Ryan Seacrest’ is a nationally syndicated show that expands to four hours on radio stations that carry that program.  And remember that he also hosts ‘American Top 40′ which is a weekend show and he will provide other joint ventures opportunities with his bosses that includes deals with music artists and other media projects.

One real busy guy.

Oh yes, he’s the host of ‘American Idol’ as well.

Well ‘The CBS Early Show’ has pretty much run third behind the leader ‘The Today Show’ on NBC and ‘Good Morning America’ on ABC.  But all you have to do is watch for a week to understand why.  ‘The CBS Early Show’ is simply boring.  And Les Moonves seems to agree as Harry Smith, Maggie Rodriguez and Dave Price have been replaced with a new team of morning hosts.

Chris Wragge and Erica Hill, who both hold down weekend duties for ‘The Early Show’ will be replacing Smith and Rodriguez.  And weather guy Dave Price moves on and Marysol Castro, who did weather for ‘GMA’ weekends will now call the sun, snow and rain for the weekday morning show.

Jeff Glor, the anchor of the CBS Evening News Saturday version is going to replace Hill at the news desk.

The new crew will be fully in place starting January 3 of 2011.

“After all the adversity I’ve had this year, with my health and my son’s incarceration, my ex-wife and the lawsuit, to be able to sit here and talk to you, I’m so happy” Michael Douglas told the Hollywood Reporter.

Here we go again.  Blame it all on Oprah Winfrey as the list of personalities who want to try to launch a daytime talk show keeps growing.  And now a member of the ‘Real Housewives of Orange County’ is lining up her pitches for picking up where Oprah is leaving off.

Jeana Keough has told RadarOnline.com that she has three concepts she’s presenting to get her face back in the public view.  One is an Oprah style talk show that would be a self help format and the other two are reality shows.

“People love my advice” she told RadarOnline.com thinks she has the stuff to pull it off.  And she’s done a lot from being a Playboy model and a real estate agent along with her reality gig in Orange County.  She recently lost 25 pounds on Bravo’s ‘Thintervention.’

Now this is how you try to regain some ratings for CNN.  Grab a guy that has a solid TV medical background along with a lot of reality TV show experience and bring him to your network.

CNN, the worldwide leader in news, is bring Dr. Drew Pinsky to the network’s Headline News division to add a bit of spice to their fledgling brands.  We have to admit that HLN is a bit more better positioned in ratings than sister CNN but bringing in a personality with Dr. Drew’s foundation is a great move for the much sought after therapist.

The new unnamed show will start in the spring of 2011.  It will run Monday through Friday and take on tactics he has discussed in the past such as relationships, drug addiction and other people issues.

Currently Dr. Drew Pinsky is seen on ‘Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew’ on VH1.  “I feel the network will provide the opportunity to explore the stories behind the story” Drew Pinsky said in a statement.

Gotta love football and gotta love this play.  Never has a play like this happened in college or professional sports but this game between Oklahoma and Oklahoma State broadcast on ABC television.  You know how ESPN does some of the best plays in sports for a certain day, night or weekend?

This will be number one for the year.

It’s the first sitcom ever on CMT, which used to focus on being Country Music Television back in the day, but now the cable network is putting a new direction with original content.

And with a really big name.

Reba McEntire, who had her own television series on The WB from 2001 to 2007, will be making a guest appearance on ‘Working Class’ on CMT during an episode that will be taped in December.  The date for the airing of her appearance has yet to be announced.  But during a radio interview with ‘Working Class’ lead Melissa Peterman, the offer was just too much for Reba to turn down.

Melissa hosts a show on CMT Radio Live and offered Reba her own dressing room, Melissa will personally shampoo her rug in that room, she will also paint a mural of the two friends on the wall of that room and a lot more.

Reba agreed to be on the show.

‘Working Class’ has Peterman starring as a single mom moving to the suburbs to give her kids a better life.  Television icon Ed Asner will play her crabby neighbor in the new series that premieres on CMT on January 28th at 8PM.

Most know Leslie Nielsen from his comedy in the ‘Naked Gun’ film series.  But this great actor started in television in 1950 and appeared in many TV programs but going back to the 50′s may be a stretch for some readers of this blog.  But we can start with well known series like ‘Peyton Place,’ ‘Ben Casey,’ ‘The Wild Wild West’ and many more.

He was again, amazing.

Leslie Nielsen died at the age of 84.  His brother Erik strangely enough died at 84 years old a couple of years ago.

Well these artists just keep getting bigger and better with the amount of top national TV exposure and the increased level of their music.  On the music side the Black Eyed Peas continue to create great content.  On the TV side getting prime time exposure as the halftime act for the 2011 SuperBowl on FOX.

If there’s any broadcast any act want to be immersed in it is any SuperBowl.

The Black Eyed Peas will get get to perform at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas on February 6th of 2011 and this new football facility can hold up to 111,000 fans which is the attendance expected in the state of the art stadium.

This is a bad year for the Cincinnati Bengals of the National Football League.  Here’s a team with a pretty solid quarterback and two used to be really good wide receivers in Chad Ochocinco and Terrell Owens.  Both of them during their NFL careers were absolutely dangerous players who used to be able to run, catch and score whenever and wherever they wanted.

Then they were bitten.  Their egos got in the way of football and both were bit by some reality show producer as if he was one of ‘The Walking Dead’ on AMC, who told them that being in such an environment was great way for them to enhance their football careers.

They drank the Kool Aid and killed their professional football careers in the process.

Chad Ochocinco and Terrell Owens may have limited careers left in the NFL.  Watching ‘Thursday Night Football’ Thanksgiving evening both players looked like overpaid athletes that you hate to watch.  Not the All Pro wide receivers who should be scaring the jocks off of defenders playing against them.

Now even mediocrity is too good of a word to describe their play.

Then there’s Michael Vick.  A guy who happens to be smarter than both combined.  Love him or hate him, Michael Vick decided to focus on football rather than another season of his BET reality show ‘The Michael Vick Project.’

Vick’s Philadelphia Eagles have 7 wins and 3 losses while Ochocinco and Owens are languishing in last place with 2 wins and 9 losses for their Cincinnati Bengals.  One of the worst records in the National Football League.  Michael Vick and the Eagles are looking at a SuperBowl run this year.

No reason for the problems with the Bengals except their two ego-centric, self-centered players name Chad Ochocinco and Terrell Owens.  Immersing themselves in to two of the dumbest reality shows on television have essentially made them both just a couple of regular guys in the NFL.  Two great players that made really dumb career choices.  Each will never make, and I repeat never make the kind of money in reality television than professional football.

Both players careers are in serious jeopardy.  This is one of those teachable moments in real life, about real people.  You sell more when you sell less one mentor taught me.  Focus on football like Michael Vick and you will be a winner.  With too many options for your attention, well you’ll end up being losers like Chad Ochocinco and Terrell Owens.
