29 years is a long time in the TV business when you do just one thing. Mary Hart has had an incredible run with ‘Entertainment Tonight’ and says this is the final year of her relationship with the show. Hart says she only wanted to do the show for three years when she started and it turned out to be almost 30 years. “That’s an accomplishment and something that I”m very proud of!”
Now of course comes the speculation of who will replace Hart and let’s hope this is not another 763 names of people like what’s going on at ‘American Idol.’ Lara Spencer, who currently leads ‘The Insider’ which is also produced by CBS, will replace Mary Hart as host.
Whoopi cursed her out. Michaela started crying. Welcome to ABC’s ‘The View.’ Somebody call the law firm of Binder and Binder.
The spat began when Whoopi and Michaela got in to a shouting match after the show’s broadcast. Salahi of course is part of the Bravo show ‘The Real Housewives of DC” and of course you remember her as the White House party crasher. She and her husband weasled their way past a group of dumb Secret Service agents and got in to a Barack Obama party. From then on her and her husband’s fifteen minutes of fame got started.
Michaela Salahi (center)
So while on ‘The View’ Whoopi, who was not part of the interview segment with Salahi and the other DC housewives, walks on to the set during the interview and touched Salahi’s arm in an attempt to get her back on track with the subject of her incident at the White House.
When did that become her job?
After that bit of low class etiquette Salahi claims Whoopi hit her as most people would like to do just, well cause most people would like to smack both her and her husband. So let’s go to the video tape and it seems Michaela has no clue what the difference is between a hit and a touch.
The party ensued backstage when her husband Tareq began filming the outburst with his cell phone. Whoopi went off and had a few “choicer words” for the Salahi’s and Michaela started crying.
A ‘View’ spokesperson called it a “heated exchange.” We call it a ratings bonanza for Bravo.
We really had to check this out. And for the record we are not talking about Hannah Montana. This is unbelievable. 19 year old Montana Fishburne, daughter of ‘CSI’ lead guy Laurence Fishburne, is releasing a sex video the middle of this month. This is what this kid says. She believes that because of the well watched Kim Kardashian sex tape that doing one of her own is the way to make it in Hollywood.
Lord help me to pray.
A “path to success” is the way it’s described. Vivid Entertainment, the company that will be releasing the video August 18th, says “she saw a path to success” by doing this type of content. Yes I had to repeat it twice.
What a mess. What a serious mess.
So there’s this music video she did and that performance should get her on stage. At ‘Girls, Girls, Girls’ strip club in Green Bay, Wisconsin. What’s that ‘Whispers’ song back in the day…’little girl, lost and turned out.”
Montana you need to get it together girl. This is not the way.
You probably know her today as Jaden Smith’s mom in the remake of ‘The Karate Kid’ playing at a theater near you. Now Taraji Henson hooks up with Lifetime on a new original movie “Taken From Me: The Tyfanny Rubin Story.’
This true story focuses on a Queens, New York woman whose 7 year old son was abducted by her ex-husband in the summer of 2007 and took him to South Korea. There was a two year battle for custody and the ex decided to take matters in to his own hands and snatch the kid from his mother Tyfanny.
The story will highlight her search for her son Kobe which took her to South Korea to get him back to the United States. A private eye was hired, located Kobe, and with the help of the mom popped a wig on the kid and got him out of the school Kobe was attending.
Very cool storyline. And never, ever underestimate the heart of a black woman who had her kid snatched.
They ended up at the U.S. Embassy until able to fly home.
You gotta give this lady her props. Erin Andrews from ESPN is who we’re talking about here. Having gone through the violation of her privacy from a bottom-feeding, scum-sucking, lowlife piece of crap and now coming out of it bigger and better than before, Erin Andrews is facing her past by going back to work.
In a big way.
ESPN has added her to the 25th year of ‘ESPN College GameDay’ this fall. ‘GameDay’ is the pregame show that has an in-studio element to it along with having anchors live at the big college football games scheduled for that Saturday. The show is now running three hours starting this fall rather than the two hours it had been airing in the past.
Now Erin will be a correspondent for ABC TV’s ‘Good Morning America’ and Thursday she reports on a story close to her and her attorney’s docket. She will sit down with three women who were victims of stalkers as she continues her drive to bring awareness of the issue that affects mostly women.
Ask any female on any dating site about stalkers, those in person or the ones who get endless e-mails, phone calls and texts. It’s a real problem.
Erin even testified on Capitol Hill about her ordeal. Now she’s kicking tail while her perpetrator, Michael David Barrett, is rolling the dice with his tail in prison.
Gordon Ramsey just can’t get a break. He’d better watch his bank balance or keep his money in his mattress just in case the government decides to add to his personal ‘Kitchen Nightmares’ and freeze his accounts. The host of three reality shows owes the IRS over $2,000,000 in back taxes and seems to have no available cash to pay.
This bill is in connection with his New York restaurant ‘Gordon Ramsey at The London’ which he sold since no one in New York wanted to eat at The London. Nor any of his places as Ramsey has sold every U.S. based eatery and is in talks to settle the debt.
Mario Batali and Emeril Lagasse
And Top Chef big guy Mario Batali is facing a lawsuit as two employees of his New York joint ‘Babbo’ have filed a class action deal where they say they were shorted on wages and overtime pay while working at the Greenwich Village location. The two also say they were forced to tip out employees who didn’t deserve of piece of their 15%. ‘Molto Mario’ has made no comment.
The Kardashian triple threat of Khloe, Kim and Kourtney will all be there. Kristin Bell, Zac Efron and you because if you’re between 13 and 19 years of age this is your last week to vote as the winners will all be fan based.
FOX TV is the place for Monday night’s broadcast of ‘Teen Choice 2010′ and the list of people showing up for this summer splash keeps getting bigger and better. Katy Perry, who is on a tear this summer with the monster hit ‘California Gurls,’ is hosting this years show which airs at 8PM.
Top nominees include the always popular Miley Cyrus and the FOX hit show ‘Glee’ grabbing 13 each. Taylor Lautner got 11 nominations. The ‘Twilight’ films ‘Eclipse’ and ‘New Moon’ got a total of 17 noms leading all.
Again still a few days to vote so go to the Teen Choice Awards web-site to cast yours and have a look at all of the nominees.
So here we go again. But we think we’re getting closer to a decision for judges on ‘American Idol.’. At least we know Ellen DeGeneres is going back to daytime where she belongs. And Kara DioGuardi is out at this point which sucks for her as she just got a radio gig on Ryan Seacrest’s KISS-FM in Los Angeles, mostly because of her connection with ‘American Idol.’
So now what?’
Jennifer is chilling and waiting for paperwork which is what a classy woman does. And Steven Tyler, the loud rocker from the band Aerosmith is running his mouth, as most rockers do, saying he’s going to take on of the empty chairs at the judge’s table for the upcoming round of ‘Idol’ episodes.
Yeah!!! Keep on rockin’ cause you only rock once Steven! OK so much for a radio flashback.
Reuters news service is quoting FOX Entertainment Chairman Peter Rice as saying “no one has signed a deal” so that pretty much means nothing coming from a TV executive except that talks are on with both talented musicians.
So now with Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez, we have the 3,985,765th names as the next ‘American Idol’ judges.’
Check out OnTheRedCarpet.com as they have some cool info on this story.
Any day I can do a story about Halle Berry, well, that has to be a very good day in the blog business. Halle Berry is going to guest on ‘The Simpsons’ in 2011 episodes. Oh yeah, the greatest center in the National Basketball Association who is a now a coach with the NBA Champion Los Angeles Lakers will be on the show as well as ’40 Year Old Virgin’ Paul Rudd.
OK back to Halle.
The best part about this story is being able to peruse the images of Ms. Berry to decide which one to upload.
So Halle’s episode on ‘The Simpsons’ will have her involved in an Oscar acceptance speech where Bart and Homer fight over an award.
Did I mention she won an Oscar? And that she apparently split from Gabriel Aubry? Damn now they’re back together, right now in South Africa, with Halle doing a movie for the next month.
Anyway Kareem and Paul Rudd will guest in an episode together. Kareem will play himself while Paul Rudd will Dr. Zander, a shrink running a “fathering enrichment class” after Homer gets low marks for his work with his son Bart.
I’d better stop or I will be reviewing details of a restraining order with my attorney.
Here we go again. First there’s Barack on ‘The View’ giving that show the highest ratings ever. The current guy in the Oval Office can still attract a crowd. We ran that story.
Then former President Clinton drops 15 pounds and marries off his only daughter Chelsea. We ran that story.
OK so we’re not under the lead foot of the Federal Communications Commission, yet we will offer equal time to the opposition.
Then we have Sarah Palin, whose picture is listed under the banner of ‘the mediocrity of America’ as she goes on FOX News Sunday with policy statements written on her palm. God I love Sarah Palin cause she gives everyone so much to write about. Well anyway we ran that story.
Finally to where we are now as Matt Lauer sits down for an exclusive interview with former President George W. Bush in a special called ‘Matt Lauer Reports’ which will run in prime time.
On Monday November 8th, 6 days after the mid-term elections. Ya think he might have something to talk about then? And that following Wednesday the former big guy steps in to the ‘Today Show’ hot seat with Matt for more live chatter about his new book ‘Decision Points’ released the day before.
Yes for those readers November means November ratings sweeps and you can bet ABC’s ‘Good Morning America’ and ‘The Early Show’ on CBS will lose more viewers that week faster than Charlie Rangel is losing his political career.
